Objectives

The conductor and orchestra set themselves exceptionally high standards for their work.

The aim was to

  • set new standards in the quality of performances of original music and arrangements
  • try out and premiere new original literature for accordion orchestras
  • to explore and present the accordion as a solo and ensemble instrument in all its tonal facets and to demonstrate the artistic expressiveness of the solo accordion and chamber music ensemble playing
  • to inspire composers to write new compositions with model performances

These goals were achieved with flying colours.

However, the orchestra had another task. It was not only to promote the sale of instruments, but also to help people use them correctly.

The orchestra members, with their professional playing style, became role models for generations of amateur orchestra players – a ‘pull effect’ that continues to this day.
